In the Big Book it states that acceptance is the solution to all of our problems. This seems especially important for me to apply to myself, that is, for how I think and feel about myself. I believe that to accept myself for who I am and who I am not is to come to love myself completely and unconditionally. When I authentically accept myself I find nothing wrong, there is no criticism of myself only the notion that I am how I am suppose to be at the moment. I am not in a struggle with reality, only an acceptance of it. I am not in a struggle with myself, only an acceptance of who I am and who I have become. For me accepting myself completely is me loving myself. I could say that love and acceptance of myself are the same.
