Our experiences and life are the result of what we think and say. If you have been criticising yourself for years, hoping that it will help you to change your life, but has not, then maybe it is time to do something different. Criticising yourself only supports the negative life that you say you want to change and reinforces your negative self image and poor self esteem.
Try approving of yourself. Try acknowledging yourself for what you are doing that is positive in your life, even for your efforts to change. Try using positive affirmations, even if you do not believe them in the beginning. Practice thinking and saying positive affirmations about yourself daily, in the mornings and evening, especially for your go to sleep, until you believe them, until they become your truth.
